loved triple j traveling around oz...what an amazing live studio session...only thing comparable for me in terms of musical moments was sitting in between damien rice and lisa hannigan in a tiny little broom cupboard make-shift studio as they delivered an awesome live recording of volcanos...just them and me...magical...if someone told me back in school that that is what i would be doing as a living later on i would have been pretty made up at the prospect

worst miss ever?? it's up there...

Peruvian footballer Israel Kahn has staked his claim for miss of the year - and quite possibly the miss of all time - after a howler for Alianza Atlético at the weekend.

Israel plies his trade in Peru's first division and was left red-faced after he skewed his shot horribly wide of an open goal - it really needs to be seen to be believed. After beating the offside trap the 22-year-old runs onto a perfect long ball and rounds Cienciano's goalkeeper with ease. But after doing all the hard work, needing only to slot the ball home with not a soul within several metres of him, poor Israel pulls the trigger from just outside the area - only to see his right-footed dink sail helplessly past the wrong side of the post. He even had the opposition defence walking back to the centre circle for the anticipated restart, such was the apparent formality of putting the ball in the back of the net. The shocker of a miss brings back fond memories of Venezuelan Anderson Fredrick, who found himself in similar circumstances after beating the keeper. Not content to walk the ball into the net Fredrick decided to blaze a powerful shot toward goal - only for it to sail embarrassingly high and wide.

ever see a man-seal? you have now...

tv presenters big break ends up a gaffe spectacular...

Channel 4 presenter Ortis Deley loses athletics anchor role: A litany of live TV gaffes has prompted C4 to scale back the host's duties...

Poor Ortis Deley - he really has been out of his depth anchoring Channel 4’s live coverage of the athletics world championships. And after five days of missed cues, mispronounced names and stilted delivery, bosses have finally “scaled back” Deley’s role. The Gadget Show host and former custodian of the CBBC broom cupboard will make way for Rick Edwards who presents E4’s reality dating show Tool Academy but was until now slated for only the graveyard shift of Channel 4’s coverage of the IAAF World Championships. Among Deley’s gaffes have been repeated mispronunciations of the names of commentators John Rawling and Rob Walker, a failure to announce ad breaks and a continual need to refer to his notes – all while in the presence of one of athletics’ living legends, four times Olympic gold medallist and eight times World Champion sprinter Michael Johnson. An interview with Lord Coe was interrupted when Johnson was forced to link to an ad break Deley had failed to spot, while the presenter has produced such self-evident gems as "It’s history in the making as Oscar Pistorius from South Africa makes history". A Channel 4 spokesperson said of the decision to relieve Deley of the anchor role: "Channel 4 is committed to developing new presenting talent and this extends to our coverage of sporting events. "Ortis Deley's role in Korea covering the world athletics has been scaled back but he will continue to be on air for the duration of the competition.
