THE DEFINITION OF WINNING...PERHAPS?

Last night Stevie G's rather excellent Midweek Music Mash-Up featured all sorts of musical delights all mashed together including a touch of Led Zeppelin with Snoop Dogg so imagine my delight when I came across more Led Zepplin flavoured stories today (reminding me to dig out some Led Zep albums)read on...

He's got energy that would put some youngsters to shame – watch an inebriated OAP get on down to a bit of Led Zeppelin.

The music is provided by Led Zeppelin tribute band The Crunge, who hail from Toronto, Canada, and our dance act entertains onlookers with a number of moves. After a couple of bows to his audience, he gives them the 'chicken', followed quickly by 'the bounce'. As he gets into his stride, and after a bit of flailing, he unleashes his show-stopper – 'the beer tap and wipe'. We think it'll catch on. To finish off, he re-visits 'the chicken' and then runs on the spot – before pushing the boat right out and giving the crowd 'the surfer'. It may not be Strictly Come Dancing, but it's just as entertaining. The video has created a real stir on YouTube with over 35,000 hits so far. As user Suune said: 'This is by far the best definition of Winning yet!'

MISSING COBRA TURNS UP ON TWITTER

An Egyptian cobra that went missing from the reptile house at the Bronx Zoo has apparently turned up on Twitter. A tongue-in-cheek Twitter user giving "updates" on a missing snake now has nearly 120,000 followers. The 20in deadly snake escaped from New York City's Bronx Zoo last Friday, and is yet to be found.
MY FAV BRONX ZOO COBRA TWEETS:
I want to thank those animals from the movie "Madagascar." They were a real inspiration.

Anyone know if Rebecca Black lives in NYC? No reason.

A lot of people are asking how I can tweet with no access to a computer or fingers. Ever heard of an iPhone? Duh.

Donald Trump is thinking about running for president?! Don't worry, I'll handle this. Where is Trump Tower exactly?

Holding very still in the snake exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. This is gonna be hilarious!

Just FYI, I've had it with Samuel L. Jackson too.

Dear @CharlieSheen, know what's better than tiger's blood? Cobra venom. #winning #snakeonthetown Also I'm 20 inches long. Just sayin'.

WEIRDEST THING YOU EVER FOUND IN A BOWL?? TRY A BOA CONSTRICTOR FOR SIZE...

A seven-year-old girl lifted the lid on the family loo - and found herself staring at a seven foot long boa constrictor. Police in Hanover, Germany, managed to photograph the monster snake and call in wildlife experts before it disappeared back down the U-bend. Wildlife experts believe the snake was once a pet and had escaped from a nearby home using the sewage system to move around looking for food. "People buy these snakes when they are young and they grow very large very quickly and scare the life out of their owners who try to flush them down the lavatory or release them into the drains," said one.

ONE MAN DISNEY MOVIE ROCKS! ER, IN A DISNEY KINDA WAY...

Some singers struggle to knock out one vocal line, but watch the One Man Disney Movie on YouTube and you'll see someone do six – all at once!

Wannabe musical star Nick Pitera has uploaded a video in which he plays the part of a heroine, two choruses, a hero, sidekick and villain and sings his favourite Disney songs as each one. The result is proving a huge hit and has clocked up over 100,000 hits in just 24 hours. The screen is divided into six parts, with Nick in each one behind a microphone. Using clever editing and acting skills, the effect is of having six people singing all at once. Nick, who works as an animator for Pixar, said: 'Music from Disney films has made a huge impact on me, and has been the source of inspiration for many years. Since I was five I have dreamt of voicing a character myself, and this is me doing my best to pay homage to a few of my favourites. I had so much fun making this video and I hope you enjoy it!' Well, YouTube users definitely are. Thousands of comments have poured in praising Nick's medley. ChizLemons gushed 'you are simply amazing' and Bbers2008 said: 'OH MY GOD someone give that man a job RIGHT NOW! This was incredibly entertaining and AWE INSPIRING!!!'

CHRIS BROWN SMAHES UP TV STUDIO ON DAY OF NEW ALBUM RELEASE

Chris Brown is alleged to have smashed his dressing room window in a rage after being questioned on live television about his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

While appearing on ABC's Good Morning America to promote his new album F.A.M.E, Brown was quizzed repeatedly by host Robin Roberts about his conviction for a February 2009 assault on the singer. This prompted an 'enraged' Brown to reportedly smash his dressing room window with a chair while screaming loudly, before leaving the studio building without his shirt. The interviewer asked Brown about the legal issues surrounding the case, and a judge's recent decision to relax the restraining order on him, but Brown kept trying to turn the conversation back to his music. 'It's not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I'm past that in my life. Today's the album day, so that's what I'm focused on,' he said. However, Ms Roberts pushed him further, prompting an annoyed Brown to reiterate: 'This album is what I want people to hear and people to really get into, so definitely this album is what I want them to talk about and not stuff that happened two years ago.'

STAR WARS FANS YOU ARE GONNA LOVE THIS!

TAKEN FROM HERE: i saw revenge of the sith last weekend at a local theater with my friend joe who was in town on business. it was much better than the first two movies and a fitting end (err.. middle) to the star wars saga.
the next day i was walking past my friendly dvd salesperson and decided to check out revenge of the sith. i was assured the quality was good and for 7rmb why not give it a shot.
aside from the counters on the top of the screen and a distorted perspective it was ok- not high quality but watchable. the captions were a hilarious surprise- a direct english translation of the chinese interpretation of what the script was saying. it varied from being somewhat close to the script to being 'far far away'....

GOOD NEWS FANS OF LORD OF THE RINGS...

Filming has begun on Peter Jackson's production of The Hobbit, in New Zealand. The two-movie production had been hampered by studio funding problems, a threatened actors' strike and ulcer surgery for Jackson himself. He's now posted a press release on his website, to say that production is under way. Martin Freeman will play the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, and the cast also includes Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen and Cate Blanchett.
AND IN HONOUR OF THAT NEWS...

WOULD YOU SMASH UP A HALF-A MIL CAR THAT YOU OWNED?

An irate owner of an 'unreliable' £500,000 Lamborghini drafted a team of men with sledgehammers to batter the car after the makers allegedly failed to fix it.

The Lamborghini Gallardo L140 luxury sports car - worth the equivalent of £465,000 in China - had recurring problems after the owner purchased it in October last year, it was claimed. But far from fixing the problem, the dealership managed to mess up the bumper and chassis when it was in their care, according to reports in China. So the Chinese entrepreneur decided to pummel his pride and joy on World Consumer Rights Day by hiring a group of workers, giving them sledgehammers and letting them do the rest.

N.A.S.A. SNAPS CLOUD-FREE IRELAND: YES, THAT IS A VERY RARE THING...

NASA's Aqua satellite recently snapped a cloud-free shot of Ireland. The cloud-free view is extremely rare as the country is almost entirely cloud covered 50% of the time according to the Irish Meteorological Service, Met Éireann. There are more clouds during the day than at night, and fog is common. According to NASA, Ireland owes its greenness to moderate temperatures and moist air. The Atlantic Ocean, particularly the warm currents in the North Atlantic Drift, gives the country a more temperate climate than most others at the same latitude.

RONALDINHO: STILL GOT IT...

A brilliant piece of skill by Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho has once again take the internet by storm with a video of him in action for new club Flamengo becoming the latest YouTube hit.

The 30-second clip uploaded at the weekend has already been watched almost 300,000 times on YouTube and liked over 100 times, with many users expressing their delight at the sensational skill on show. The video shows the 30-year-old brilliantly controlling a high clearance with a single touch before skipping past two players and setting a team-mate free to cross from the right-hand side of the opponent’s penalty area. The clip looks even more impressive when slowed right down, showing Ronaldinho even taking his eye off the ball before he’s controlled the ball falling from a considerable height. Reddit users have also expressed their admiration for the Brazilian, with the video one of the most popular posts on the soccer section of the website. Many though were engaged in a debate over when Ronaldinho was at his peak and questioning the decisions by Barcelona and then AC Milan to sell him.

IS THIS THE WORST SONG IN THE WORLD?

Rebecca Black has come under attack on Twitter after the video for her debut single Friday became a YouTube hit as music fans blasted it as one of the worst songs ever made.

Black follows in Justin Bieber's footsteps and has become the latest teen to be plucked from obscurity to hit the heady heights of internet fame but rather than being praised for being a great singer, Rebecca has been mocked for her poor vocals. The 13-year-old released a video on YouTube for the track Friday where she sings in rather nasal, heavily auto-tuned vocals and the promo quickly went viral. The video shows Black chirping on about the joys of Friday, when she has her friend on her right and can decide if she wants to ride in the front seat or the back. Black looks forward to 'partyin' and 'fun, fun, fun' in the video which has had over 5.6 million views since it premiered (yes, you guessed it) last Friday. The internet world has since gone crazy over the teen with a series of parody videos and remixes. Black has been widely criticised on Twitter where many music fans wondered if Friday was one the worst singles ever made. GinaRyannn tweeted: 'Rebecca Black's new song is absolutely awful.' While mesty posted: 'What is this Friday thing by Rebecca Black? Let's have a watch...OH NO MY EARS' PriBarcelo wrote: '4 minutes of our lives.. Wasted! Friday by Rebecca Black has to be the worst song I've ever listened to.'

MIND YOU: Rebecca Black is now enjoying her fifth straight day of trending on Twitter as users continue to marvel at her list of suburban trivialities put into Justin Bieber-esque song form. Internet ribbing aside, it is not all bad news for the teen popster, with the track now featuring in the iTunes Top 100. It seems that, despite the unedifying lyrics of Friday, the song's undeniable catchiness has resulted in thousands of record sales. There have even been rumours of a Rebecca Black tour, although - as she pointed out on her Twitter account - it might be difficult to tour with just one song. Albeit a complete banger.

AND SEEING AS IT'S: Friday, Rebecca Black's undisputed favourite day of the week, is finally here - we help you celebrate with some of the top remixes of the hit viral, we we we so excited!

WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? AC MILAN INCLUDE FRISBEE & DANCING WITH REF IN WARM-UP...

In surely the most bizarre pre-match entertainment ever, AC Milan stars Gennaro Gattuso and Zlatan Ibrahimovic appeared to dance with the referee and play with a Frisbee before their match against Bari at the weekend.

Video footage of the ‘entertainment’ has been released by Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport showing players from both sides running out onto the pitch to the sound of Bon Jovi before performing a series of strange dance moves and tossing a Frisbee to each other while Queen blasts out over the stadium's PA system. Some of the 22 on the field are seen sitting down on the pitch reading newspapers while Clarence Seedorf is seen trying to box one of the officials. The most bizarre sight though is AC Milan captain Gattuso, who made headlines around Europe last month for headbutting Spurs coach Joe Jordan, dancing hand-in-hand with the referee. While many YouTube users have been left totally baffled by the scenes, one clip has been watched almost half a million times on the video-sharing website, it has emerged the whole performance was stunt set up by Gazzetta. The ‘players’ seen on the pitch are in fact actors and the stunt was part of a campaign advertising Gazzetta dello Sport.

NOW THAT'S SOME STRIKE! ALBEIT A TAD FORTUNATE...

As long-range strikes go Georgios Tzavellas' goal against Schalke at the weekend takes some beating, with the Frankfurt left-back scoring from deep inside his own half.

Frankfurt lost the game 2-1 after a first-half goal from Jose Manuel Jurado and Angelos Charisteas cancelled out Tzavellas’ equalising second-half strike. Tzavellas goal will undoubtedly go down as one of the most memorable of the season though after Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer completely misread the long punt up field by the left-back. Neuer has continually been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer as manager Sir Alex Ferguson looks for a replacement for the retiring Edwin van der Sar. The Germany international will therefore be hoping Ferguson wasn’t watching the match the game on Saturday when he was made to look more than a little foolish when he came totally missed Tzavellas’ long-range pass, assuming Theofanis Gekas was going to latch onto the ball. Unfortunately for Neuer, he didn’t and the ball bounced between the goalkeeper, the striker and a Schalke defender to bounce into the net. Neuer’s blushes were saved though when Charisteas won the game for Schalke, taking his side to tenth in the Bundesliga, with Frankfurt 15th.

CREEPIEST MOUSTACHE-TWITCHING CRICKET FAN EVER!

Bangladesh vs West Indies Match, right before the ending ceremony, this guy came out of nowhere...to put the hex on us all....free-key!The clip sees fans revelling during a cricket match between Bangladesh and the West Indies. Amid the smiling and dancing crowd a man steps into shot and remains there motionless for several seconds, performing a rather ominous thousand yard stare as his moustache twitches away. No doubt the fan was simply a little startled at being on TV, but the rather intense gentleman has caused much laughter on YouTube.
demononthefall101 commented: 'This guy can make chuck norris s*** bricks', while Sallyangel82 went for a more to the point: 'OMG lol'.

MY EMBARRASSING BUNGEE IN ALL IT'S GLORY!

ok so to do a bungee was part of the 'let's go see the world' vibe right, that said as someone basically afraid of heights it terrified me even thinking that I might do one & the prospect of effectively leaping to my death *slight over-dramatization alert* had woken me up in a cold sweat on more than one occasion LONG before I ever did it...in Oz I had done a skydive, waited for the fear & it never hit it was an amazing experience, loved it & would recommend to anyone...this tho...different story...my ex was crapping it she went first did a perfect dive off & aced it basically, me, I might look a tad cocky, certainly eager (see how quick I'm over to that edge, let's get this over with was the logic, 'ain't nuthin to it but to do it' sorta thing) but I was absolutely bricking it, again tho, in fairness, 1-2-3-BUNGEE & I go first time...the rest is less edifying...screaming like I have been shot, I fall, as you can see, as if I am about to die - a feeling that falling through the air will give a guy you might, I hope, agree - quite simply it was horrific -once down up I bounce, seemingly as high as when I had first leaped, and as I'm shooting back up I begin, ever so tentatively, to think 'that wasn't so bad' & you may detect a fairly faint 'WOO-HOO' as the teensiest, tiniest feeling of bravery comes back to me, very quickly to be replaced (as I begin to drop right back down at alarming speed & utter lack of any control) by further banshee like wailing & no doubt much gnashing of teeth coupled with furious thrashing of my arms in a vain effort at stopping myself falling *I dunno it seemed like the most rational reaction at the time* anyhoo the worst/best experience of my life still causes my body to lose power when thinking about it or, as is now possible for ever & ever amen, viewing it online...however redemption has come a-callin in the shape of the Ballydehob Bungee Blast West Cork Sat 19th March 2011, God only knows why but somehow 16-year old organizer Ryan (worthily raising funds for The Hope Foundation's Street Children of Calcutta appeal) convinced me to go again & I think I have my head around it this time...we shall see if I manage to make less of an arse of myself this time around! Finger's toe's & everything feckin' else crossed on that one...

SHOCKING TSUNAMI VIDS HOLY K-WRAP!

Another day, another earthquake. Except the Magnitude 8.9 tremor off the coast of Honshu, Japan, will be a standout event for 2011 - if not in terms of the eventual death toll it brings, then certainly in scale. There are usually only one or two quakes of this size every year. And even for a country such as Japan, which is very familiar with seismic hazards, this is extraordinary. The history books show there have been seven quakes rated at 8.0 or greater since 1891 in Japan. And with big tremors come big aftershocks. Following the initial 8.9 event at 1446 local time (0546 GMT), a sequence of major tremors was initiated - six of them within an hour-and-a-quarter that were all bigger than or all equal to last month's quake in Christchurch, New Zealand (6.3). The largest of the aftershocks was a 7.1.

"The earthquake happened on the Japan Trench which runs roughly north-south and the fault dips shallowly westwards towards Japan at about 15-20 degrees," explained Dr John Elliott from the Centre for the Observation and Modelling of Earthquakes and Tectonics (Comet) at Oxford University, UK. "Given the size of the earthquake, the fault is likely to have ruptured for about 500km. "The previous earthquake to rupture probably the same section of fault was the 1933 M 8.4 earthquake (3,000 deaths) and had a large associated tsunami as well." As slipping occurs along these great lengths, the shifting sea floor lifts a great mass of water along the fault line, launching tsunami - principally along a line perpendicular to the fault, with lesser intensity in the directions along the fault's length. For Friday's event, that means effects to the east - for instance at Hawaii - will be much more pronounced than those to the north and south. The US-run Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said amplitudes (top to bottom of waves) of up 7.3m were recorded on the coast of Japan. Japan's Kyodo news agency reported that a 10m wave (33ft) struck the port of Sendai, carrying ships, vehicles and other debris inland. Even out in the deep ocean, the specialist tsunami warning buoys were recording wave amplitudes of a metre, which is considerable. This means waves will have reached out across the Pacific, towards the Philippines, Hawaii and perhaps even to be recorded on the landmasses of North and South America. What is likely to interest seismologists will be the association with a number of very strong foreshocks in recent days. These began on 9 March with a Magnitude 7.2 event just 40km from Friday's earthquake, and continued with a further three earthquakes greater than Magnitude 6.0 on the same day. In terms of public awareness and reaction, these foreshocks could turn out to be quite important because they will have reminded people what they are supposed to do in a big quake to protect themselves. Remember, the scale used to measure earthquakes is not a simple linear one. Each step in magnitude equates to a 32 times jump in the release of energy. As a consequence, Friday's 8.9 event was some 250 times more energetic than anything seen on Wednesday this week; and about 1,400 times more energetic than the Great Hanshin, or Kobe, earthquake in 1995 (M 6.8). Japan has had about 10 quakes since 1900 that have resulted in major casualties, typically a few thousand people each time. "The exception is the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake, Tokyo, which killed 140,000," Dr Elliot said. "The 1995 Kobe earthquake in southern Japan had about 6,500 deaths, but was different in that it was not a subduction event, and was located under a populated area."

UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE: MANKINI STREAKER GETS PLAYER SENT OFF...SEE WHY!

Eight man Magpies crumble after pitch invasion
The Hawks came from behind to beat Dorchester Town 3-1 at Westleigh Park tonight after a surreal second half moment turned the closely matched game on its head. Steve Devlin's superb 25 yard dipping drive put the visitors in pole position in the 9th minute, and it took the Hawks until the hour mark and an equally adept shot in off the post by Mustafa Tiryaki to equalise. But when Ashley Vickers was bizarrely dismissed with a straight red after bringing down a mankini wearing streaker 70 minutes in, Dorchester's composure fell apart. Wes Fogden put the Hawks ahead six minutes later when he slammed home the rebound after Dan Thomas spilled Steve Ramsey's long range effort, and before Ramsey himself scored the third in injury time the Magpies saw Jake Smeeton sent off for body checking Guiseppe Sole in a rash challenge and Kyle Critchell for voicing his opinion to the man in black in the aftermath.

007 star Daniel Craig has brought new meaning to the term Bond girl - by appearing in a short film in drag. The actor dons a flowing blonde wig and knee length dress in a film to mark International Women's Day. The two-minute movie, which features narration by Craig's Bond co-star, Dame Judi Dench, has been made to highlight inequalities faced by women around the world.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN...& NOT HAVE TO SUFFER CANCELLED FLIGHTS!

Eighties pop icon Cyndi Lauper took matters into her own hands when she found herself surrounded by a group of angry passengers stranded at an airport by singing to them. Lauper, 57, was waiting for a flight when tempers started to flare over delays and cancellations at the Buenos Aires Airport on Friday. Dressed in a black headscarf and sunglasses, the quick-witted star grabbed an airport microphone and treated the crowd to her hit song, Girls Just Want To Have Fun. Some passengers even started to join in and Lauper, who was leaving the country after performing there as part of her worldwide tour, later wrote about the giant sing-along on her Twitter page. 'Ok, so chow Argentina. At airport … So many delays,' she wrote. 'Wound up being announced, wound up singing two songs for airport. A first for me. Crazy day.' The singer performed a blues tribute at the Grammy Awards last month along with folk star Maria Muldaur and R&B act Betty White.

AMAZING MUSIC DOCUMENTARY! HOMELESS PARAPLEGIC CONGOLESE BAND USE HOMEMADE INSTRUMENTS TO CREATE INCREDIBLE SOUNDS...TOTALLY UPLIFTING!

From Popbitch: A few months back we wrote about "Benda Bilili" - a documentary about a band of (mostly) paraplegic musicians from the Democratic Republic Of Congo. Well, the film is due out this month and we can't wait. The film-makers Renaud Barret and Florent De La Tullaye faced many challenges shooting the 5-year documentary on the streets of Kinshasa, which are populated by assorted 'shegues' (street kids), military dealers, hoods and thugs of all kinds - none more so than when they were thrown in jail for refusing to give in to police blackmail. The pair were only released when the members of Staff Benda Bilili led a pack of storming paraplegics to charge the police station shouting "Give us back our whites!".

WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING IN THE US OF A?? SCARIEST THING I HAVE SEEN IN AGES & REMINISCENT OF NAZI GERMANY IMHO

I am staggered by what I have seen in this video, elected representatives speaking of Muslim American citizens in awfully disparaging terms, one saying that her son & other Marines would happily despatch them to 'paradise' ahead of time...say what?? This is scary & clearly many will argue that it's just a minority (as of course it is) but all this Tea Party reactionary conservatism & rabid intolerance is not encouraging in terms of where the worlds only true superpower & major meddler in global affairs (only ever acting in self-interest lets be realistic here) under the dogma of realpolitik Hmmm scary scary scary for more revealing insight check the work of Noam Chompsky, Robert Fisk, John Pilger, John Simpson and other brave crusading journalists who try to tell it like it actually is once the free market propaganda has been stripped off of course or even the revelations of how Western powers operate as documented in the Wikileaks releases...anyway enough for now just can't get over what I saw here...your thoughts welcome and all views are my own of course and subject to change over the course of reasoned debate and well-founded alternate opinions...peace!

IRISHMAN TAKES ON RANDY BULL ELEPHANT, IRISHMAN LOSES...

An amazing sequence of photographs captured a bull elephant flipping over a car like a toy in the Pilansberg Game Reserve in South Africa.

The elephant v car bout began when Irishman John Somers, on holiday celebrating his 66th birthday and driving through the park with a friend, decided to try and overtake a huge and horny bull elephant.
Bad mistake.

The elephant, called Amarula, at first rubbed itself up against the car, perhaps mistaking it for a female mate. But then the beast, pumped full of hormones, became aggressive and flipped the car on its roof as the terrified occupants clung on for dear life inside.

This brush with death wasn’t on the pair’s itinerary, but luckily they suffered only minor cuts and bruises from the incident. The snaps were taken by photographer Riaan van Wyk, who was watching from a safe distance!

FOOTY FUN X3: OWL-KICKING ROTTER & SOMERSAULTING BRAZILIAN PHYSIO & MASS BRAWL IN SERIE B

A Panamanian footballer is facing severe punishment after kicking an injured owl during a match. Video footage showed the bird was struck by the ball , prompting the referee to stop play in the Colombian championship match between Pereira and Atletico Junior. As the referee and players discussed what to do, Pereira defender Moreno - apparently impatient over the delay - kicked the bird towards the touchline with his left foot. "The player should be severely punished for this painful, horrible act of intolerance," said Ramón Jesurum, the president of the Colombian league. He added that the case would go before the league's disciplinary committee. Atlético Junior fans chanted "murderer" at the Panamanian player. Moreno was also reprimanded by opponents and he apologised after the game, reports The Guardian. "I apologise to the fans, it wasn't my intention," he said, as he left the field escorted by radio reporters and police. Colombian media said the owl had been rescued by ground staff and taken to a vet. Its condition was reported to be serious.

A Brazilian physio has become something of a YouTube sensation after his rather unusual approach to running onto the pitch was caught on camera. During a recent Brazil Cup match between Comercial PL and Palmeiras, the medic was needed 42 minutes into the game to treat one of the Palmeiras players. The unnamed physio rushed onto the pitch and instead of going straight to the stricken player performed a nifty cartwheel before collecting up his medical bag and attending to the injured footballer. Clearly a massive crowd favourite, the physio performed the trick on numerous occasions throughout the game, including one sprint and cartwheel down the left-hand touch-line 20 minutes into the second half. He even took to the performing the trick when he wasn’t required to administer medical help, cartwheeling down the touchline behind one of the goals towards the end of the match. Palmeiras ended up winning the game 2-1 but it was obviously who the real star of the match was. A video of the physio in action was uploaded onto YouTube last week and has already been watched almost one million times.

A huge fight broke out during a match between Italian Division B sides Foggia and Gela that resulted in stewards, substitutes, the police – and a man on crutches – getting involved. And the footage is racing up the YouTube charts. The reason for the monumental fracas on Sunday was actually, in this case, entirely understandable, because Foggia threw good sportsmanship from the Gela players back in their faces. The drama began when Foggia player Bartosz Salomon went down injured, so a Gela player reacted with first-class gentlemanly conduct and kicked the ball out of play so he could be treated. The reward? Foggia quickly took a throw-in, charged forward and scored. Unsurprisingly, the Gela players were incandescent and fists flew. A lot. In fact, the match eventually had to be abandoned five minutes from time after managers, coaches, stewards and squad players swarmed onto the pitch to vent their feelings. The remarkable footage even catches a man on crutches hobbling about on the field of play.
